  • About

The Cannon Hill Inn is an historic Victorian railroader's home in Rowlesburg. The foundation is the famous Rowlesburg Bluestone quarried on the east side of town. Some of the original features of the home are retained, including the Chestnut flooring, stair rails, and trim. This house features first-floor ADA-compliant accommodations, something we could not offer at the River House Lodge. Rowlesburg's critical role in the Civil War is depicted throughout the house with appropriate prints and artifacts. One of the features is a Civil War Parrott Gun replica. The Inn offers a first-floor room, a second-floor suite of three rooms, a full kitchen, and a parlor for relaxing. There are outside decks for viewing Cannon Hill, which rises 900 feet above Rowlesburg. Boat rentals and shuttle services may also be booked at the Cannon Hill Inn.
