Clint McCabe’s term as Chamber President draws to a close
Kingwood, W.Va., - July 31, 2018 - We all know that one person who is the calm voice of reason always able to view any situation from multiple perspectives and help you arrive at the best choice. For the Preston County Chamber of Commerce, the person who has done all that- and made us laugh in the process - is undoubtedly past President Clint McCabe.

As Chief Operating Officer of Clear Mountain Bank, Clint oversees operational controls and efficiency as he streamlines administrative and reporting procedures within the successful community bank. He has been with Clear Mountain since 2005 and before his promotion to COO, he brought his 16 years’ worth of experience in management and marketing to the role as their Vice President of Marketing.

Clint has been a tremendous asset to Clear Mountain Bank and the communities we serve for many years.  He has played a big role in shaping our bank’s brand and culture, which in large part stems from his passion for making sure we take care of the needs of our customers and give back to the communities we serve.  Clint always goes above and beyond in all that he does, and our bank would not be where it is today without his many contributions.  We are blessed to have him on our team.” Shared David Thomas, President and CEO of Clear Mountain Bank.

His skillset in both creative marketing and detail-centric corporate efficiency illustrate Clint’s personality well. He is organized, thorough and able to think outside the box. These traits deserve much credit for the Chamber’s growth and success during his term as the organization’s President. “Clint has played a huge part in the progress and continued success of the Chamber.  It has been a true pleasure working with him.  I thank him for his commitment and dedication to the Preston County Chamber of Commerce and to the community,” stated Kristy Ash, Executive Director.  Under Clint’s leadership, the Chamber has launched a new website and logo, grown membership numbers, and increased member offerings and events.

Clint hails from Blacksville and is a 1995 graduate of Clay-Battelle High School. He then moved to Morgantown to attend WVU and graduated magna cum laude in 1999 with a BS in Advertising. In 2007, he graduated from the ABA School of Bank Marketing & Management at Northwestern University and he is designated as a Certified Financial Marketing Professional by the Institute of Certified Bankers.
Named to the State Journal’s Generation Next: 40 Under 40 Class of 2013, Clint’s hard work, humor and intelligence do not go unnoticed by those around him.  “Always used to Clint’s business demeanor, I first experienced his humorous side during the Ladies Bash.  Clint had the patrons flagging him down to buy tickets for purses, etc.  His ability to make others laugh while raising money for the Chamber was impressive,” stated Tina Turner, Board’s Vice President.

He has been an invaluable addition to Chamber’s board for the past 6 years, the United Way of Monongalia and Preston Counties board for the past 5 years, and the Preston Memorial Hospital Foundation board for the past 6 years.

To those who know him well, Clint is above all else a family man. Married to wife Melissa since 2005, they are proud parents to bright and spunky 7-year-old daughter Daphne. He keeps his family laughing, and Melissa notes that “Clint is quiet for the most part, so when he speaks, you should listen carefully because it’s either going to be really important or really funny!”

It’s been said that the quality of a leader is reflected in the standards they set for themselves. Clint is a shining example of a person who leads by example. He inspires us all to embrace each day’s challenges with a smile. On behalf of the Preston County Chamber of Commerce, I thank him for his outstanding dedication to our community.
