Dance the night away and forget your winter blues on Saturday, January 12. The music starts at 7 p.m. when Back in the Day oldies band brings you the sounds of '50s and '60s Sock Hop music at Preston Community Arts Center, located at 123 South Price Street in Kingwood.
The popular Morgantown band is composed of Roy Johnson (vocals), Kristie McVicker (keyboard and vocals), Terry Morgan (bass), Tommy Baker (drums and vocals) and Brian Root (guitar and backing vocals). They drawmuch of their inspiration from legendary rock n’ roll pioneers like Buddy Holly and Elvis Presley.
The price is $10 for adults and $5 for students through high school, payable at the door. Great food and drinks can be found next door at Brew Ha Ha, too.
